“I want to be in a relationship where you telling me you love me is just a ceremonious validation of what you already show me.”—Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free (via mrsfscottfitzgerald)
Ok this may be a dumb question what does "swallow me like a kudzu" mean?
No way! There are no dumb questions. So check it. The full lyrical context is:
So anyway, you got my goose You’re swallowing me like kudzu Pretty soon I’ll be a leafy silhouette But you can pick my voice out of the wilderness
So (as wiki puts it) kudzu is a group of climbing, coiling, and trailing perennial vines that climb over trees or shrubs, growing so rapidly that it kills them by heavy shading. It also eats, like, HOUSES and stuff (whaaaat).
So what I’m talking about in that verse of "Half a Mind" is feeling consumed by another person - although not in a “and then you die because of heavy shading” kind of way. Just in a fun, “I’m so excited about another person that I feel like I’m gonna explode” kind of way. Cool?
